Turmeric is a spice known as a “superfood” for its long list of nutritive and healthful properties including being a potent anti-inflammatory.  This creamy turmeric drink with honey and ginger is a great way to start or end the day and only takes about 5 minutes to make. Sometimes, I have it for breakfast and sometimes I have it right before bed. I also love it chilled in the summer or on holidays. It is a great eggnog substitute.  What a better time to be drinking a tasty anti-inflammatory drink than during holiday eating!

Creamy Turmeric Drink with Honey and Ginger (Anti-Inflammatory)
Ingredients
- 8 ounces milk, almond milk or soy milk
- 1/4 tsp turmeric
- 1/4 tsp ginger
- 1/8 tsp cinnamon
- honey, to taste
- 5-10 drops vanilla extract
Instructions
- Combine all the ingredients in a small pan and heat gently, stirring frequently with a whisk (about 5 minutes).
Ok. I was skeptical about it being a replacement for eggnog, but I agree! This is a delightful drink.

How long will this keep? Could I make a batch of it every few days and reheat when I want some?
